Mobicip for Mac not monitoring or filter Google Chrome Browser (works for Safari)

I have a MacBook Pro with the latest version of MacOS installed. I have the latest version of the Google Chrome Browser installed. I have the latest version of the Mobicip Mac application installed.

Mobicip is not reporting any browsing that happens with Google Chrome. It's blocks and report with Safari, but not with Google Chrome. It doens't do anything with Incognito mode and it also doesn't do anything with normal browsing mode.

The page on your website for Mac states:

"PARENTAL CONTROLS FOR MAC Mobicip for Mac is a powerful parental control app that protects any browser. Download and setup the Mobicip app on your child’s computer. Mobicip’s protection stays in the background and enforces your Internet usage preferences anytime, anywhere on any network."

This does not appear to be the case because the Mac app is not filtering Chrome at all.

Chrome browser not being filtered/monitored

I am having the same problem as mentioned above.  Mobicip is installed on my son's computer and I am able to see sites he visits through Safari, but when he uses his Chrome browser, I do not see any report of Websites visited, nor do the filters work to block youtube, etc.  I have cleared the cache and restarted the computer.  It does not fix the problem!?

I am running into the same

I am running into the same issue -- browsing with Safari works beautiflully, all filters are working fine.  But with Chrome, there are no restrictions whatsoever.  I am using the latest OS/X, High Sierra, 10.13.3, on a mac mini.  All system & browser updates applied -- so latest OS patches, latest Chrome, latest Safari, latest Mobicip.  Thank you,

TP.

Re: I am running into the same

Hello Tom
The issue could be because the browser has already connected directly to the URL you are browsing (say google.com) before Mobicip was enabled. A quick way to confirm this is to open Chrome Incognito window and try browsing. If filtering works there, then clear browser cache (In the menu, select Chrome->Clear Browsing Data, and clear cached images and files) and try again. Also restart the Mac device after clearing browser cache.

If the issue still persists, let us know if Mac parental control is enabled or any anti-virus software installed on the device, we will investigate further asap.

Mobicip for Mac not monitoring or filter Google Chrome Browser

I am new to Mobicip and am experiencing the same problem - Mobicip for Mac not monitoring or filter Google Chrome Browser (works for Safari).  Chrome searches are not reported and blacklisted sites are allowed.  Working fine on Safari.  Have tried all suggestions (flushed cache, restarted etc.)

We may need to dig deeper to identify what's causing the issue. So, please send an email to our Email Support mentioning your computer details and we will investigate further. If required, we can even schedule a Remote Desktop Session to troubleshoot effectively.
