I removed the app and deleted the device from the web site, but the device is still "supervised" by Mobicip. The online documentation only says "contact us" to remove it. Really?

I would think that getting a new device and having to uninstall the old one is a pretty common occurance to have to open a support ticket for it.

This seems FAR harder than it should be.

Re: How do I fully uninstall Mobicip from an IOS device
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Please note that you will need our unsupervision tools to unsupervise your iOS device. Access to these tools are given only to account owners and admins. Yes, this may be a painful process but it is purposefully made so in order to avoid kids from removing Mobicip and thereby circumventing the filter settings set for them. Please send an email to our Email Support via your registered email and after verification, you will be granted access to the tools.

I agree. This is WAY harder
I agree. This is WAY harder than it has to be. We recently switched from Mobicip to Net Nanny becuase of the slow and responses from Support and amateur nature of the software and tools. I had a similar question and apparently you need a "unsupervise" app to remove the supervision. Mobicip provided me with the install file for Mac and Windows but nothing for iOS (yet). They said to use the Mac version to remove the supervision on the phone (there is no way that I know of to install an app on a phone without downloading it from the app store - please help if you do know a way). I can't believe they market this product for iOS without first having a way to remove it. I emailed Support again today. We'll see how many weeks it takes for them to get back to me.

Re: I agree. This is WAY harder
Hello Martha,
Sincere apologies for the inconveniences caused. Please note that the unsuperision tool needs to be installed on the computer (Mac or Windows) and then the iOS device needs to be connected to the computer using the USB cable. Once the iOS device is connected, launch the unsupervision tool in the computer and it will guide you through the process of complete uninstallation. This should just take 5 mins time. We understand that this is a diffcult process but it is purposefully made so, in order to avoid kids from uninstalling Mobicip and thereby circumventing the filtering setup for them on the device.

Uninstall Mobicip on deactivated iPhone?
I am having a similar problem. I am needing to get a new iPhone as the current iPhone with the parent or admin device management on it is not staying charged. I need to know if I can uninstall it manually if the device is no longer activated for service. I hope so because I need to activate my new phone in order to have a working phone. Thanks

I agree on this being much
I agree on this being much harder than it should be... Mobicip could at least make the uninstall app automatically available to the registered email address without going through any manual support process.

Another upset parent
This is awful service. I installed this on my son's phone and now he can't access internet at all! This is damaging his trust in me. I have been through everything on the dashboard and not blocked anyting and he still has no access - really disappointed and no way to uninstall except waiting for a return email.!

Re: How do I fully uninstall Mobicip from an IOS device ?!?!?!?
Apologies for the inconvenience caused. You can use our App manager tool for disabling Mobicip apps management on your iOS device. Download the App Manager tool onto your Mac or Windows computer from this page. Once done, connect your child's iOS device to the computer, login with your Mobicip account and you can use the option 'Disable App Manager' to remove it from your device.
