Watching Netflix on Chromebook

I want to allow my daughter to watch netflix on her Chromebook where I have Mobicip installed.  Netflix brings up an error:

Whoops something went wrong...

Error Code: C7301-1111

How can this be resolved?

Netflix not loading

My daughter as well is having an issue watching netflix on her Chromebook. The video will start and then stop. It will show the loading icon as though it is trying to load the video but it will never load. Refreshing does not help. I uninstall Mobicip fro her Chromebook and Netflix works again, no issues.

Re: Netflix not loading

Hello EJ
Please note that Netflix has been doing a lot of non-standard stuff recently and their new http2 protocol is not currently supported by Mobicip. Our dev team contacted them and is actively working on getting a solution. We will get back to you with an update as soon as we hear from them.

Same issue with my chromebook

Same issue with my chromebook. Not sure why I pay for this service if I cannot allow our children access to sites we want. Even if I turn the profile to Monitor, it still doesn't work!

Re: Same issue with my chromebook

Hello Christopher
We understand your concern but unfortunately, this issue resolution depends on Netflix. We are working with them but do not have any definite time limit as to when it will be fixed.

Same issue

Yes I am having the same issue. Looks like this is still not sorted out, almost a year later! I have my sons settings set to mature and only a few options turned on, yet he is getting blocked from major government sites... He can't even order his bus pass!

I have had to simply turn it off, this was the only way I could get Netflix to work. If you don't sort this out, you will lose all your customers, every-one watches netflix!

Re: Same issue

Hello Deleon
Unfortunately, we can't do much about the Netflix issue for now but you mentioned that several other government websites were blocked. Please note that there could be several reasons why some websites are blocked for your son. We need to look into your account settings to isolate the exact cause of the issue. So, please send an email to our Email Support via your Mobicip - registered email id and we will investigate further asap.
