Silly question, but I'm new to this, where do I find the Whitelist section on the site to block/allow websites?

Re: Where do I find the Whitelist section?

Hello DisneyFan,

To add websites to allow/block list, please login to your Mobicip account at www.mobicip.com >> Settings tab >> Websites in the left panel. You can see two options below - 'Block' and 'Allow'. Click on the respective option.

Please note the common error other parents run into. They tend to add websites in this format
http://www.gizmodo.com
www.google.com
If you allowed/blocked websites like this, it is not enough. You will need to allow/block the domain by adding
gizmodo.com
google.com
instead. Many sites do not use the www prefix anymore, especially for mobile versions of the site.

Also note that it may take up to 30-45 mins for any change that you make on the web monitor to reflect on the device. Please let us know if this answers your question. Otherwise we will be happy to assist further. Thank you for choosing Mobicip.

Whitelist

Do you have to have a Premium account to access the whitelist?

Re: Whitelist

Hello Robert
Yes, the feature to add a specific website to white-list is part of Premium subscription. Please note that Mobicip Safe Browser is a standalone app that comes with three pre-defined filtering levels (strict/moderate/mature). Each filtering level allows a specific set of website categories and blocks a specific set which are defined by our filtering policy team. If you would like to customize these category settings, you need to purchase Mobicip.com Premium. The Premium service is entirely optional.

Our premium subscription allows you to choose specific website categories that you would like to allow/block for each child user under your account. You also have the ability to allow/block specific websites and set time limits for accessing internet using the Mobicip app on your device. You can also set up your account to receive weekly/monthly report of internet activity to your email id. The internet activity will be available to view for the last 31-days on your account at Mobicip website.

Re: Cannot load the revised settings on my daughters Ipod

We are sorry for the trouble you are having. Please note that it may take up to 30-45 minutes for any change that you make on the web monitor to reflect on the device. Hope this explains the reason for the delay in the filtering level change being reflected on your daughters iPod. We believe that the level change should reflect fine on the device now.

Please check and let us know if the issue is resolved now. Otherwise we will be happy to assist further.
