Yes, we recently introduced a new feature wherein the basic users can try our Premium features for free for 7 days. You will not be charged right away but only after 7 days. During the course of the trial, if you do not wish to proceed or continue with the Premium upgrade, you can contact us and get it canceled anytime.
If you wish to try this, sign up at www.mobicip.com > login to your account and avail this option. Please be assured that you will not be charged right away. We suggest that you give it a try and see it if meets your requirement.
I am trying to install on my son's iphone but the only thing coming up in the app store is the Mobicip Parental Control. I'm not seeing "Mobicip Safe Browser".
Also, how do I access the 7 day free trial for Premium?
Apologies for the confusion caused. The one that says Mobicip Parental Control is the Mobicip safe browser app.
Please try visiting our website www.mobicip.com through the default browser in your device >> click on Product tab. Then click on the button that says 'Available on the App store' button. This should re-direct you to our app purchase page in App store. Else, click on this link.
Reg your other concern - Please login to your Mobicip account and click on any Premium tab say Reports, Dashboard...etc. You will see a pop up window there to choose between Premium upgrade and trial.
I'm frustrated in that I want to use the basic free service on our Galaxy tablet but your service forces me to give my credit card and basically access the dashboard for only 7 free days for setting up the filtering profile. This is annoying and misleading. Why can't i set up the basic/free service on one device? Am I missing something? I want to try your product but don't like being tied in with a credit card and a 7 day period. Your marketing on your website is misleading. Turns me off from the get-go.
Please note that you will not see our trial option in profiles and devices page. In other words, you should not come across this option while trying to update your user profile. The offer is only displayed in the Premium tabs - 'Edit filter settings', 'Apps', 'Requests', 'Reports'...etc (editing these tabs will anyway need Premium) and not on the 'Filter Profiles' and 'Devices' tabs. You can very well choose not to sign up for this and continue using the basic version.
We offer a 7-day free trial of the Premium service to show users a glimpse of what the additional features can do. We do collect credit card information to ensure that only serious users try this option.
We do not force anyone to sign up for the free trial. It is entirely optional. If you do sign up for the trial, you could immediately contact us and request a cancellation at the end of the trial period. That way, you can enjoy the trial and still not get charged at the end. In many ways, it is a win-win for customers and for us, and this type of initiative is being recommended as a best practice for solutions like ours.
