"Open in" for PDFs

Forums:

  • Technical Support

Hi, I just recently updated to Mobicip 2.8.2 for my iPad (I'm using iOS5). I wanted to test out the "Open In" feature for PDFs, but it's not working for me. I can get the button to come up, but when I push it nothing happens (the menu for which app to open in does not appear. Do you know what the problem might be?

Thanks!

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please note that we have created a support ticket on your behalf and have requested our dev team to look into this issue. We will get back to you with an update as soon as we hear from them.

Meanwhile, we suggest that you try deleting and reinstalling the app and check if it helps. To reinstall Mobicip Safe Browser, press and hold the icon until it begins to wiggle, then delete. Please make sure that you use the exact same iTunes account that you had used before to purchase the app. You will not be charged for purchasing the same app again. Once you install the app, login using your existing Mobicip account credentials and check if the issue is resolved.

Opening pdf files

Same problem as listed above on 11/3/11, but its now 4/24/12 and no fix?

What is the time frame for making this a functional browser?   I can't limit my child to this browser for school if he can't download files!

can't open pdf

I am a teacher building a class website, which my students will access with mobicip.  On my class resources, I have a number of documents in PDF format and Pages format.  I am having the same issue as above.  I can get to the link on the website and open the document, which mobicip titles "file.cfm" for some reason.  It is called Chapter 1 outline.pdf on my resource.  I can tap the screen and get the "Open in..." button to appear, but pushing it does nothing.  I know I have GoodReader installed on the iPad in question.  I have Mobicip 3.0, 120 version.  IOS 5.1.1.  GoodReader version 3.17.0

Same problem. Can't open pdf's from mobicip in other apps. This is a deal killer. I just purchased 30 copies for my school and if it can't be resolved soon will need to get my money back.

We are having the same issue

We are having the same issue at our school.  Our district just purchased almost 300 copies of Mobicip and this is a serious flaw.  Our teachers have much of their content in PDF format and right now, our students cannot access any of it.
