I just purchased the premium membership. I installed the monitor extension on my child's iPod touch, however...no apps are showing up in the App section of the monitoring tab. Can you tell me what the problem might be?

Thanks

Re: No apps found

We are sorry for the trouble you are having. If you were able to install the profile, then the App Monitor feature should start working within a few minutes. Sometimes it takes about 15-30 mins for Apple's push notification service to contact the device and sync up with it. Also the device needs to be connected to the internet for the feature to work. Please check if the device is online, and then wait about 15 mins. If App Monitor is not working even with these conditions met, we may need to troubleshoot your account further. Contact support so we can assist further.

Apps Not Found on two iPads

Hi, I have just recently purchased Mobicip premium and downloaded the app monitor as per the tutorial on both devices.

However, when I go back to the Mobicip console on my PC, it displays 'No Apps Found'.

When I installed the monitor on both iPads it completed the install correctly, and I have rechecked 12 hours later with both iPads connected to the internet and it is still the same.

I really need this featue, can you please advise how I can resolve.

Regards  Scott

Re: Re: Apps Not Found on two iPads

This is an update to the issue reported reg App Monitoring. A temporary glitch in our server caused this issue. Please try to uninstall the profile from your devices by launching the Settings app >> General >> Profiles >> select the EDM profile from Mobicip and click on 'Remove'. Then try reinstalling the profile and check if it works now.
Simply follow the instructions in this tutorial to get setup.

Please let us know if this resolves the issue. Otherwise we will be happy to assist further.

RE: No apps

I am experiencing the same issue.  Do I need to remove the profile and reload it?

Apps Monitor

I cannot see the apps either. This is one of the main reasons I purchased the software, so if I can't see apps I won't be using it anymore. Also, is there not a way to see the amount of time spent on certain apps, etc?

Thanks!

Re: Apps Monitor

Hello Lisa,
We apologize for the inconvenience. As we cited in our above post, our dev team is actively investigating the issue and we will keep you posted on any updates regarding this.

Reg your other concern - Please note that Mobicip's filter and its Premium settings will work only on the Mobicip Safe Browser and not on any other apps available on the device including Safari. While we would like to make our filtering service work with other apps on the device, Apple does not allow us to create software that runs in the background. Hence, we had to create our own browser to provide filtered internet access. Please note that this is the case with any other internet filter available for Apple's mobile devices.

In other words, Mobicip will not be able to restrict/monitor other apps usage. App Monitoring feature enables you to keep track of the apps being downloaded onto your kid's devices without manually checking it every time. This way you can make sure that Mobicip is the only window left for filtered internet access.

You can review what apps are being used on each of your devices; Instantly review the rating, price and category of the app on the App Store. We are working on a feature that will send you alert when a new app is downloaded. We will keep you posted on this feature.
