OK, this has probably been asked a thousand times but I cannot figure it out.
I purchased the $4.99 mobicip app for my son's iPad, Son #1. When under the settings for mobicip on his iPad it displays Son #1 as the user. Perfect.
I then purchased the app again for $4.99 on Son #2's iTouch. I used the same iTunes e-mail account (mine) for both. The mobicip settings for Son #2 displays Son #1 as the user. I logged into mobicip.com and made sure that both Son #1 and Son #2 are there, which they are, each assigned to their own device. However, I cannot get the settings to change when running either mobicip app on either device in order to assign the proper user to each.
What am I missing here?

Re: Multiple Users/Multiple Devices

Since you are a Premium subscriber, you have the ability to setup multiple child user profiles in your account. To assign a device to a specific user, launch Mobicip on the device, then touch the info button and select Settings to set the child user for the device.
You will be required to enter your username and password to enable the change.
You should be all set.
Note: Even after the user - device association is setup on the device, you will continue to see two devices listed under the first (default) user profile in your Settings > Users page. You will also see the second user profile now associated with the correct device. You can safely ignore the discrepancy as it will automatically get corrected in a few days.

Multiple Users/Multiple Devices
I am interested in the Mobicip product but want to understand how multiple device charges. If we purchase the premium package for our desktop, will we have to purchase another for an ipod touch or iphone?
Thanks

Re: Multiple Users/Multiple Devices
Yes, you are correct. Our premium subscription is priced on a device basis and you need to purchase as many subscriptions as the number of devices that you wish to protect. So, you need to purchase one for your Windows device and one for your iPhone separately.
For your Apple devices, you can purchase the Mobicip Safe Browser app (not the premium subscription) on the iTunes app store just once and you can install it on any number of devices in your household for no additional charge by using the same iTunes account or by using Apple's Homesharing feature.

Homesharing apps
Can you maybe post or link to some page that explains how to homeshare apps? I always understood that content (music etc) can be homeshared but not apps. I have a PC with 2 user accounts (for my daughters) and have set up separate appleids, to save trouble in the future, but I am not sure this was the right way to go since it now seems that I have to buy software twice !

Re: Homesharing apps
Yes, you are correct. If you purchase the same app through different iTunes accounts, you will be charged through each account i.e twice for the same app.
If you have multiple iTunes accounts in your household with each device sync'ed with a unique iTunes account, you can still purchase music and apps once and use it across all the devices. The setup for this Home Sharing feature is a little more involved. Please follow the instructions in this tutorial from Apple's support website.

How do i change a setting on one device to another registered?
I purchased Mobicip for 2 iTouches, one for an elementary setting and one for a high school setting. Both devices are set for the elementary setting. How do I change my high schoolers setting to his instead of his elementary brother's setting. I tried opening the Mobicip app and going into settings and it is listed as the elementary and I cannot figure out how to change it from the iTouch or online in the premium settings. Please help.

Re: How do i change a setting on one device to another...
We are sorry for the trouble you are having. You may need to create a new child user for setting a different filtering level for your child. Please login at www.mobicip.com >> go to Settings >> Users in the left panel >> click on the green button 'Add Another User' >> Set child user name and select the level as High School Level >> then click okay. Please allow 45minutes to one hour for this change you made on the web monitor to reflect on the device. Then launch Mobicip on the device >> touch the info icon 'i' at the bottom right corner and touch Settings. You should now be able to see the new child user displayed in the screen that follows. Select the appropriate child user that you have set at the High School level. You will need to enter your user name and password to enable this change.
