Parent Log On
I just installed Mobicip for Windows 7. When I click on the icon it brings me to the parent logon. I log on and it brings me to the filter settings asks to select a user. When I do it says " Failed to save settings! Please try again." I have tried with both children's names andkeep getting the same message. What do I need to do to make this work?

Re: Parent Log On
We are sorry for the trouble you are having.
This issue has been reported by a handful of users. Unfortunately, we are not able to reproduce the problem on our test systems to be able to resolve it. It appears that there is something in your permissions or the software installed on the computer that is causing the problem.
We would really appreciate the opportunity to troubleshoot the problem over a phone call. Please send an email to support(at)mobicip.com with your phone number and suggest a good time for the call. Thanks for your patience and we are hopeful that the issue can be resolved.

I am having the same issue as well, but I am using Windows Vista Ultimate perhaps the the previous user is as well. Does this make a differance?

Failed to Save Settings
We are experiencing the exact same problem. The program doesn't work at all simply because you can't save the settings when you set it up. There's not much to it except the error message that says, "Failed to save settings! Please try again." We can't get it to work. We have a new HP Machine, Windows 7, obviously...
Any help would be appreciated, we want this to work.

Re: Failed to Save Settings
We are happy to announce that our dev team has fixed the 'Failed to save settings' error that stopped quite a few of our beta testers from testing Mobicip for Windows beta. We appreciate your patience as we worked and resolved this issue. Please go ahead and un-install the older version of Mobicip for Windows beta that you have on your device and install the new version that is available on the Mobicip page:
How to Setup Internet Parental Controls on Windows 7
In case you come across issues during the installation process, please send an email to Mobicip Support and we will investigate the issue asap.

Installation problem as well.
I am having the same problems as the previous user. When I try to start the service the says "failed connection", I am using Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit maybe that makes a differance?
Any thoughts.......

Downloading Beta for Windows 7
When I try to email Mobicic for info on downloading the
Windows Beta 7 version it says I don't have the proper email client installed/setup. What is the proper email client?

Re: Downloading Beta for Windows 7
When you get the message 'You do not have the proper email client installed/setup', it means that you do not have any email client like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird set up to open up a 'Compose mail' page. Please send an email to support(at)mobicip.com from your Email account like Gmail/Yahoomail and we usually respond to our customer queries within 24 hours.

Mixed results on filtering and Mobicip update not downloading
I had the same "Failed to save setting" error for the first couple of weeks of my beta testing but since early April have had the appropriate version installed. I have had mixed results trying to set the filtering for the elementary level, mostly with YouTube, but was also able to access some inapprpriate sites through google. I understand that the Windows 7 version is still beta testing, but would like some more detailed instructions on customizing and what the filtering terms mean to the application. My beta access is expiring soon but will try to post any success that I have in eliminating some of the unwanted access.
Also, I have been recvieving a message every tie the machine reboots that there is an updated version available, asking if I wish to download and install it. I have responded YES each time, but is doesn;t seem to either download or install. I have not tried downloading directly from the website to see if that eliminates the message.
