Mobicip has no YouTube support

Forums:

  • Technical Support

My daughter has tried numerous times to log into her YouTube account to watch her favorite YouTubers and is rejected with a "Something went wrong" or "Too many HTTP directs" message. As YouTube is the only account she has to not only watch educational but fun videos , we find it interesting that there is no current support system considering Mobicip's adaptability and good work. We would appreciate any help.

Re: Mobicip has no YouTube support

This issue has been resolved and update rolled out few days back. Please update or reinstall the app and it should work.

Google Hangout

I have typed and blocked hangout.google.com and it still goes there.  Driving me nuts.  I would attach a picture to show my black list but I don't see that an attachment is an option here.

Re: Google Hangout

Hello Jane
There could be several reasons why your Premium settings are not working on the device. We need to look into your account settings to isolate the exact cause of the issue. So, please send an email to our Email Support via your Mobicip - registered email id and we will investigate further accordingly.

Youtube not being blocked

I have tried several times to make a new thread/topic but I was unable to. So now I am hoping that this works.

I am finding that students can still access youtube. I have tried both clicking the YouTube button under the profile settings AND specifically adding youtube.com to the blacklist.

The computers are Windows 10 and the browsers are Google Chrome.
They are signed into the computer via the schools domain.
I have Mobicip Active Directory on my computer and use that.
The web filter does work for blocking porn and other categories, but is letting youtube work fine.
