Minecraft for PC

Was the issue with Minecraft ever fixed?  I finally had to delete the Mobicip app from my daughter's PC so that she could continue to play the game.  I had understood from other forum postings that the update would be done by end of May.  It is very frustrating that I subscribed as a Premimum subscriber only to find that my purchase has been worthless.  Please advise when new update will be in place that allows Minecraft.

Re: Minecraft for PC

We are terribly sorry for the delay in getting the Windows update ready for your use. Please be assured that our engineers are working doubly hard to get this version out the door. We ran into a number of unexpected engineering problems (some of which we needed help from Microsoft to resolve) and that is the only reason for the delay. There is no lack of intent or urgency here, it is just that some engineering problems are complex and require time to investigate and fix.

The update is in the QA process to make sure it is of sufficient quality to be delivered to you. It is a matter of days at this point. You have waited patiently for so long. Please bear with us a few more days and we will let you know as soon as the update is available.

Minecraft still crashes on Windows 8

Minecraft still crashes when Mobicip is running on Windows 8. It seems to load ok on Windows 7 under the same profile, so I am not sure what is different.

Mobicip seems to be on the right track in general sense in regard to providing a filter, but there are many ongoing issues that seem to create more pain than the overall experience is worth. I know this is a terribly difficult problem to solve as you are aiming at a moving target, but future versions really need to get some of the kinks worked out with overblocking and incompatibility.

Minecraft for PC

I came across the post on 8/6/15 because I also was not able to use Mobicip to filter my child's pc while using the Minecraft launcher.  I am happy to report the beta version 3.0.111 (and 3.0.112) now allows the minecraft launcher screen to display correctly (and not the error 400 <or 404, can't remember which one it was>).

However, the new problem is that my kid likes to use multiplayer and connect to various 3rd party servers.  For example, when mobicip filtering is enabled on the PC (but not when disabled), we cannot connect/authenticate to TreasureWars.net.  I have tried using wireshark to figure out which IP is being requested, and have added all that I see into the network whitelist for his Mobicip profile.  Still cannot authenticate and connect to server.

I really hope Mobicip succeeds.  Mobicip has done more for youtube filtering than I've found on any other product.  Unfortunately Mobicip and parents alike must continue to suffer through Minecraft-induced nightmares.

Minecraft Multi Players

My daughter too prefers to play Minecraft with multi players and connect to 3rd party servers.  But Mobicip causes it to fail. (I am using Windows 8.1 and the beta version of Mobicip.)

Has this been addressed?  Is there a workaround?
