If my child enables incognito mode on Chrome, which he does in order to play two Roblox accounts simultaneously, is Mobicip still able to report web history?

Re: Private Browsing / Incognito Browsing

Hello Lukasz
In case of mobile devices - Mobicip browser is a kids-safe browser that is meant to block inappropriate content on internet. So the feature of private browsing or incognito is not allowed in our app, since it voids the point of filtering/monitoring.

In Windows and Mac computers - Mobicip resides at the OS level and works on all browsers that you use for accessing internet. It will filter out content in incognito mode as well.

In Chromebooks - You will need to enable an option in settings for Mobicip to work in Incognito mode.

What is the option in Settings to enable Mobicip in Incognito?

You alluded to a setting, but were not very specific. I'm looking for the settinga and can't find it. Thank you.

Re: What is the option in Settings to enable Mobicip in Incognit

Hello st4rbux
To enable Mobicip filtering in incognito mode, please go to Chrome browser's menu on the specific account > More tools > extensions > Check box 'Allow in incognito' for Mobicip extension.

Ok, so to be clear, you don't

Ok, so to be clear, you don't have a way to prevent incognito windows from being accessible on Chromebooks, but by allowing Mobicip to be active in incognito windows, you do track sites and block inappropriate sites.

But what prevents the enterprising child from disabling Mobicip (in regular Chrome windows or incognito windows)? Right now I feel like this will be ok for my 7 year old, but not my 10 year old. I want the on/off of Mobicip to be password protected or some such (where the parent password is required).

Re: Ok, so to be clear, you don't

Hello Sandeep
You can now block access to the extensions page to prevent deletion of Mobicip extension. Please login through your kid's account, click on the Mobicip icon and you should see the option 'Block Extension page'. Check mark the box next to it and it should block access to the extensions page.

Um, can't the child just go

Um, can't the child just go in and uncheck the box to disable the Mobicip extension in Chrome's incognito mode?

You refer to accounts as if I

You refer to accounts as if I know which account, device, setting, etc you are talking about. Please be specific. Do I go to Chrome browser extension settings? Do I go to Mobicip settings? Please advise.

Re: You refer to accounts as if I

Hello Jen
Apologies for the confusion. We were actually referring to the Mobicip Settings. Please click on the Mobicip icon at the top bar of Chrome browser and click on Block Extensions option.
