Hyperlinks

I have just installed mobicip to use an internet filtering app, and disabled safari in the restriction settings of my iphone. However, hyperlinks to internet pages that have been sent to me in e-mails/texts/etc do not open any longer. Can this problem be overcome?

Apple support needed

Hello ict.support

This is an Apple restriction where hyperlinks are always tied to Safari, even when Safari is disabled using Restrictions. We have submitted a request to Apple to fix this error. Unfortunately, the problem will persist till then.

A familiar story

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately as lovely as the iPhone is, this is an explanation i am very familiar with. This would be a valuable app for the company i work for but this restriction takes away too much functionality. I hope Apple will remedy this.
