I purchased the "Premium" mobicip for my 2 sons' new iTouches. However, after loading it on the first device, and then on the 2nd, it won't allow me to change the user's name in the settings from son #1 to son #2. Help!
You should be able to change the child user on the device itself. Launch Mobicip, touch the info button (circle with letter i) on the bottom right of the screen, and select Settings. You should see the children set up in your account listed here. Simply select the child that you want to assign to the device. You will need to enter your username and password, and the child setting will be applied.
Please let us know if this answers your question. Otherwise we'll be happy to assist further.
I recently purchased and installed Mobicip for an iPod Touch, as well as the premium service. After customizing the children's names, filter settings, and other settings via mobicip.com, it appears that none of these settings are being updated on the iPod Touch.
UPDATE: I corrected the issue by uninstalling and re-installing Mobicip on the iPod Touch. Once that was done, all of the newest settings from mobicip.com were synced to the iPod Touch.
HOWEVER, my current issue is that the reporting feature of mobicip.com doesn't seem to be working at all... Is there a delay between when the page request occurs on the iPod Touch and when one can expect to see the event appear in the report on Mobicip.com?
It may take up to 15 mins for the reports page to be updated with real-time Internet activity. Please try again after a few minutes to see if the problem goes away.
In addition, there is a potential bug on the Mobicip.com web application on the reports page. Due to the problem, activity on the present day is not being shown in the reports. To work around the problem, set the date range so that it ends on tomorrow's date. This should refresh the report and show the activity today.

How to Change Mobicip Child User Name?
jennifergal
If you are trying to change the name of the child user in your account, it has to be done on the website and the app.
1. Login at www.mobicip.com from your PC.
2. Go to Settings > Users.
3. Click Add Another Child.
4. Enter the new name.
5. Open the Mobicip app on the device.
6. Touch the info button at the bottom right.
7. Select Settings and then the new name.
8. To retain the old logs, you may want to leave the unused child's name in your account until you are sure you want to delete it.
Hope this answers your question more thoroughly.
