I have phrases listed but they do not appear to be blocked during Google searches. The phrases to be blocked are proper names. Do the phrases need to be case sensitive?
We need to look into your account settings to isolate the exact cause of the issue. So, please contact our Email Support via your Mobicip - registered email id and we will investigate further asap.
This is an issue with almost all apps that have their own browsers. Unfortunately, our hands are tied by the limitations imposed by iOS/Android. While we would like to make our filtering service work with other apps on the device, we are not allowed to create software that runs in the background. Hence, we had to create our own browser to provide filtered internet access. Please note that this is the case with any other internet filter available for Apple's/Android mobile devices.
What we can suggest as a workaround is to check your kid's device every now and then and make sure that they have not downloaded such apps. Another way to know this even without checking the device is to look at the internet activity reports from Mobicip (if you are a Premium user). If you see very less or no activity and you know that your child is using the device to browse the internet, then you can be sure that he/she is using an alternate browser.
Our Premium subscription also offers App Monitoring feature. App Monitoring feature enables you to keep track of the apps being downloaded onto your kid's devices without manually checking it every time. This way you can make sure that Mobicip is the only window left for filtered internet access.
You can review what apps are being used on each of your devices; Instantly review the rating, price and category of the app on the App Store/Google play store. We are working on a feature that will send you alert when a new app is downloaded. We will keep you posted on this feature.
