In android 6.0 marshmellow, I can block the search bar on the home screen. Selecting the Google Search app does nothing to block it. This search bar allows the user to search anything online and bypass the safe browser.

We are sorry for the trouble. We have requested our dev team to look into this issue and will get back to you with an update as soon as we hear from them.
Has there been any update on this? It's been a year and a half since this was posted. I can find no way to permanently disable or uninstall the Google search bar and Mobicip does not filter it. That means having parental controls through any other browser is useless! What can I do?
We believe that you are referring to our old post. Please note that this issue has been resolved since. You can now block Google search app or any other app in the device through Mobicip app restrictions thereby making Mobicip as the only window available for filtered internet access.
Great, I'm glad to hear there has been resolution on this! However, I need help making that block happen. When I log in to mobicip, click Apps, and then click on the device, I can see all of the apps but can't do anything with them. It's just a list. How do I actually block specific apps?
Please note that specific app needs to be blocked on the device itself and this cannot be done through the website. Please launch Mobicip app on the specific device, touch the Menu > Settings > Mobicip > App Restrictions > check the box next to the specific apps that you wish to block.
Please launch Mobicip app in the specific device > Menu > Settings > Mobicip > App Restrictions > check the box next to the specific app that you wish to block.
