Hello everyone I need help. I got this service, down loaded the apps and thought I was all set. But the only way anything is filtered or tracked is if my child uses the mibicip search app. What is to stop them from using a Google search app then nothing is blocked or tracked. I know I am missing something big here...

Re: help! not working.
Please note that Mobicip's filter works only on the Mobicip Safe Browser and not on any other apps available on the device. While we would like to make our filtering service work with other apps on the device, we are not allowed to create software that runs in the background. Hence, we had to create our own browser to provide filtered internet access. Please note that this is the case with any other internet filter available for Android/Apple mobile devices.
If setup correctly, all browser apps in the device should be disabled and Mobicip should be the only browser available on the device. You can ensure this by following the steps outlined in these tutorials

Not remote learning lfriendly.
Now that the kids are learning from home, they need access to a variety of sites and tools and Mobicip seems to take broad strokes at their website categories that block needed content. Most importantly Zoom. The issue is exacerbated by the fact that access requests don't work and there doesn't seem to be a way to temporarily disable mobicip so that the kids have full access for the school day.
1. What web category does Zoom fall under? I enabled every category that Zoom could potentially fall under and it continues to remain blocked
2. When Request Access is clicked on the web page, I get a notification on my iPhone which launches the Mobicip app, but offers no option to approve the website
3. Worst case, I want to temporarily disable Mobicip, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it
My son ended up being late for class this morning, because Zoom was blocked, we encountered all of these issues and ended up just having to completely remove Mobicip from the Chromebook.
Is all this typical? Are there solutions? Suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Not remote learning lfriendly.
Sincere apologies for the inconveniences you face with accessing School related tools/websites. Please try logging into your online Mobicip web portal at www.mobicip.com and check if the website Access Request is showing up in the Messages tab there. We really need to look into your account settings to check the reason why Zoom was blocked in your device. So, please send an email with your device and account details to our Email Support and we will investigate further asap.
