Hello, I've been searching the forums and knowledgebase and cannot find anything on blocking Twitter. Can I block Twitter on my daughter's phone and if so, how is it done?
I have twitter.com on my blacklist and have blocked Social Networking in her categories. I've deleted her Twitter account on her phone (no easy task), but it seems when she's signed onto Twitter on the home computer, it automatically signs her onto Twitter on her phone in spite of the above settings.
Any help appreciated. Thanks

Re: Block Twitter
We are sorry for the trouble you are having. Please make sure that the native Twitter app is deleted from the device. Press and hold the Twitter icon in the device and touch the X symbol to delete the app. You can then turn off the option 'Installing apps' in your daughter's device to avoid the app from being downloaded onto the device again. To disable app installation, please launch the Settings app >> General >> Restrictions >> Enter a 4 digit restrictions passcode >> turn the option 'Installing Apps' to OFF.
Please try this and let us know if it resolves the issue. Otherwise we will be happy to assist further.

native app
Thanks for your response. Because it is a native app, it cannot be removed the way you described. There is not an x in the corner to delete it when it jiggles. I can go into the app, select her account and delete the account from there, but that does not remove the Twitter icon from her phone and all she needs to do is click on the Twitter icon, create the account and sign back in to her existing account.
I also do not want to disable installing apps for her since she is almost 15 years old. I just don't want her to have social media at her fingertips 24/7. Why won't putting twitter.com on the blacklist keep her from going into Twitter on her phone? Thanks again

Twitter
I am also having trouble blocking Twitter. I do not have an app installed on my phone at all for twitter, however the mobicip browser is still allowing me to access regardless of it being on my blocked list... HELP!

Re: native app
We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We do not believe that twitter is a native app like Safari or Youtube. Please launch the Settings app in your device >> General >> Restrictions >> Enter the 4 digit restrictions pass code. If you do not find Twitter option below the 'Allow' option there, then it means that it is not a native app and can be deleted from the device. The x doesn't show up when you press and hold the Twitter app as you may have turned off the ability to delete apps. Go to Settings >> General >> Restrictions and select Deleting Apps >> ON. Then come back to the home screen and you should be able to delete the app now.
Please note that adding twitter.com to the block list will restrict your child from accessing the website twitter.com through the Mobicip app. However it will not restrict the Twitter app itself. In other words, Mobicip's filter works only on the Mobicip Safe Browser and not on any other apps available on the device including Safari/Twitter/Youtube...etc. While we would like to make our filtering service work with other apps on the device, Apple does not allow us to create software that runs in the background. Hence, we had to create our own browser to provide filtered internet access. Please note that this is the case with any other internet filter available for Apple's mobile devices. This is the reason why we recommend our users to disable/delete all other browsers available/downloaded onto the device and make Mobicip as the only window available for filtered internet access.
Please let us know if this answers your questions. Otherwise we will be happy to assist further.
