you tube question and problem

I have one question and one problem.

My question is -- how can I see the specific you tube videos my son is viewing through the history page here? All I can see is a link to a main you tube page with suggested videos, not the specific video he was viewing.

My problem is -- I have controls on you tube set to "elementary age" and this evening he was watching/listening to an Ememim video "Bad Meets Evil." I do NOT want him to be able to listen to music like this!!

Thanks for your help.

Re: you tube question and problem

We apologize for the delay in responding to your forum post. We see that you have contacted our email support team and got your problem addressed. However, we are copying our reply here, so that it will be helpful for other users who might come across the same issue.

'Videos of such categories should be actually blocked by default at Elementary School level. But we see that you have allowed the sub categories 'Entertainment', 'Music' and 'Movies' under Youtube category. This may be the reason why your child was able to view such music video at Elementary level. We suggest that you revert back the changes and block those sub categories under the category 'Youtube', in order to prevent your child from viewing such music videos on Youtube.

Please note that Mobicip filters YouTube by reviewing the title, description, comments and other meta information associated with each video. In most cases, the publisher would include suggestive words and phrases with the video and it would be blocked by Mobicip. However, there are instances where the text associated with the video itself is ok but the content is not acceptable. This is where Mobicip's filter does not work effectively. Mobicip is the only filtering product that offers YouTube filtering on a video-by-video basis. However, catching inappropriate videos with no descriptive content is extremely difficult and almost impossible at this time. Like any filtering product, Mobicip filters the content on a best effort basis and goes beyond most other products in terms of the quality of filtering. However, technology only goes so far and it takes active parental supervision to create a completely safe Internet environment.'

Regarding your question - specific Youtube video URLs in the email reports page, our dev team is actively working on this issue. We will get back to you with an update as soon as we hear from them. We appreciate your patience as we work on fixing this issue.
