You can now purchase Mobicip from your own iTunes account and use it to download the app on your kids' iTouch or iPhone. Simply launch the App Store on each device and enter your iTunes account credentials to download Mobicip, even if the device is regularly sync'ed with your child's iTunes account. In other words, you need to buy the app only once per family, according to the iTunes user agreement, and you may share it across all the devices using your own or the family iTunes account.

Everything synced up with the new iPod as far as his apps, but when I go to Mobicip.com, two devices show up - his old one (with a premium account) which we don't have anymore, and his new one (which asks for an upgrade to premium). How do I apply my premium account to his replacement iPod? I didn't want to delete the old device yet. I have only had the account about a month and have been very pleased.

To transfer your existing Premium subscription from one device to another, all you need to do is get in touch with us and let us know, so that we will do the same at our end. Please send a request from your Mobicip - registered email id to support@mobicip.com and we will do the transfer asap.
Does this mean I as a parent can launch the app store on kid1's iTouch, login into my (parent) iTunes store account, purchase the app and download onto the iTouch. Then on kid2's iTouch, launch the app store, login using my iTunes store account, and ONLY download the app again i.e. not buy it once more? That actually works?

If you have multiple iTunes accounts in your household with each device sync'ed with a unique iTunes account, you can still purchase music and apps once and use it across all the devices. The setup for this is a little more involved. Please follow the instructions in this tutorial from Apple's support website.

What if you purchase the upgrade before launching the app on each device (which is exactly what I did)?
It is perfectly okay if you purchased the Premium subscription before you purchased and installed the app. When you purchase the app now and login using your Mobicip account, the unused Premium subscription under your account will be automatically applied to the device. The customized settings that you have set up under your account will work on the device. Please note that our Premium subscription is a device based service and you need to purchase as many subscriptions as the number of devices you need to protect. On the other hand, you can purchase the app from the iTunes app store once and install it on any number of devices in your household using the 'Homesharing' feature or if you use the same iTunes account to sync your devices.

I purchased another Premium subscription for a new iphone on our account. Both phones have the app, because they share an iTunes account and we synced the app. The $9.99 Premium charge went through, but on the "Devices" page, it says, we just have Mobicip.com, and asks us to "upgrade now," which I have done twice now ($9.99 each time, thinking I made a mistake the first time). Do we need to wait a while for the new device to be activated?
We apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Please note that the only way to activate your premium subscription is to launch the Mobicip Safe Browser on the device that you would like to have the premium features on. Even after your premium purchase, you will continue to see the 'Upgrade now' link. Once you launch the Mobicip Safe Browser on your device, the link will disappear and your device's account level will change to Mobicip.com Premium.
Regarding the wait time, it may take up to 30 minutes for the premium purchase to be reflected on your online account and on your device. If your problem persists, please send an email to Mobicip Support with your Mobicip account email id and we will investigate this asap.
