We apologize for any confusion caused. Please note that the 'Device passcode' that locks the device is different from the 'Restrictions passcode' that enables parental controls on the device.
The 'Device passcode' will be set up by your son/daughter by going to the 'Settings' app and touching General >> Passcode lock.
The 'Restrictions passcode' will be set up by you by going to the 'Settings' app and touching General >> Restrictions >> Enable Restrictions. This is the place where you will be setting the parental control restrictions like disabling Safari/installation of apps, etc.
If you wish to change the current restrictions pass code to a new one, please launch the Settings app >> General >> Restrictions >> enter the current 4 digit restrictions pass code >> Disable Restrictions. Then come back to the home screen again. You can now follow the same steps mentioned above to enable the restrictions with a new pass code of your choice.

The address/search bar at the top does not ever go away. On the iPhone, this means I lose about 25% of my screen space. I think hiding the address/search bar or a full screen mode should be a high priority enhancement. Hope to see this in the near future.

Thank you for your valuable suggestion. We are planning to implement the full screen option as a part of our next update, Mobicip 3.0. We do not have a definite time frame on when we will roll out this update, but we will keep you posted. Thank you for bringing this feature to our attention.

When is too young for Facebook

I think FACEBOOK itself says you have to be 13 to have an account (of course not sure how they enforce that). I also have to sometimes remind myself that mankind (and children) survived for 10,000 years without social networking software and personal computers. I would say it probably depends on the child's maturity and ability to follow guidelines and restrictions. But I have to tell you my teenagers have NOT handled FB well - and I wish to heaven I had NEVER ALLOWED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Their lives would truly be better off without it. Sadly, once this genie is out of the bottle for more than a few weeks stuffing it back in causes a MASSIVE amount of rebellion and harassment by their peers. Wish it had never been invented. Mobicip is a HUGE help but I feel like the damage has been done (we were early net nanny users by the way).
